Who is Vertical Worship?

Previously known as Vertical Church Band, Vertical Worship is a contemporary Christian and worship band from Chicago, Illinois as part of the Harvest Bible Chapel. The worship band includes Andi Rozier, Jake France, Jon Guerra, Tara Stutes, and Lauren Sweeney-Smith. They will be performing songs from their new project, “Bright Faith Bold Future” Check them out at verticalofficial.com

Our Speakers:

Matthew & Grace Hosier

Matthew leads Gateway Church on the sunny English Riviera (otherwise known as Poole and Bournemouth). With his wife Grace, Matthew enjoys going for long runs and bike rides along the coast and deep into the Dorset countryside. Having four daughters he is also a keen student of teenage female psychology. Matthew thought he was going to be an agricultural research scientist but somehow ended up as a pastor.

Aaron Layton

Aaron is the author of DEAR WHITE CHRISTIAN; WHAT EVERY WHITE CHRISTIAN NEEDS TO KNOW. He has served at Westminster Academy for seven years and has been director of diversity for six of those years. A St. Louis native, Aaron has family roots in North County, North St. Louis, and East St. Louis. Prior to Westminster, he spent eight years as an educator in the Ferguson-Florissant School District. Aaron and his wife Gretchen have been married for 20 years; The family attends church at The Journey-West County, where Aaron serves as an elder. Aaron loves to read, dance, and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Alicia Seidler

Alicia is the Founder of Revision Christian Counseling and has worked in a variety of settings. She has worked in the St. Louis County court, assisting victims of crime and those in domestic violence situations. She also worked for an agency in St. Louis City as the director of a transitional psychiatric group home, serving those with addictions, severe mental illness, and homelessness issues. Alicia founded Revision in 2011 with a strong partnership with Crosspoint Church. She enjoys teaching and speaking on a wide range of topics, with the aim of promoting conversation and understanding of living in a broken world.

  • B.A. in Psychology from University of Missouri – St. Louis
  • M.A. in Counseling from Saint Louis University
  • Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor
  • Certification in Trauma Studies and Non-Profit Management and Leadership

Josiah Serra, Pastor

Josiah is Pastor of Prayer and Crisis Care at Crosspoint Church. He directs the Celebrate Recovery Ministry at the church and teaches frequently. He is married to Catherine and they have five children. Josiah enjoys a great cup of coffee, reading thick books in grand libraries, and loves to bake bread with ancient grains.

Having four daughters he is also a keen student of teenage female psychology. Matthew thought he was going to be an agricultural research scientist but somehow ended up as a pastor. This has confirmed his belief in the sovereignty of God.

 

Weekend Childcare

Childcare is available Friday for Early Childhood (0-5yrs) only.

Childcare is available Saturday for ages 0 – 5th grade.

Normal Children’s Ministry resumes on Sunday for 9 am and 11 am services 6 pm evening service will require childcare registration (Sunday, Aug 26)

Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis!
