Outlive Your Life
In February 2008, we launched a three-year effort, City on a Hill, asking our members (at that time) to join us in prayerful giving - to raise more than we ever had. Thanks to God working through His people, we did raise more than we ever had in the history of our church! In spite of job losses and what's been called "the great recession," by God's grace we have continued to climb toward our initial goal of $2.3 million pledged by you, our faithful partners.
Our new investment strategy, Outlive Your Life, began on February 27. We're calling it that because we believe God wants to help us fulfill His challenge - to outlive our lives through giving. The Bible says as God's people give they "will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life" (1 Timothy 6:19 NLT). This campaign, through God's guidance and grace, will help us lay that good foundation for the future.
As part of Outlive Your Life, every household is asked to prayerfully consider making a sacrificial commitment (above your ongoing tithes and offerings) to be given during the next 18 months. We're asking people to invest in our church's future so we can reach more people than ever before.
As we walk through this campaign, we need your prayers. Pray for God's leadership in this effort and His blessing on it. Also, pray that God will show you personally what He would like to do through you.
